New Assistant

Janelle Garipoli has joined Westwires as our studio manager. Janelle has recently graduated from Muhlenberg College with a degree in music and business. Jannelle is an opera singer but is equally comfortable doing backups on hip hop tracks!

Studio Renovations

We have renovated the control room here at Westwires. Including new console furniture, new JBL LSR4328P monitors, Oram Octasonics microphone preamps, ADL 600 microphone preamps, Vegas DVD DAW, and an overhaul of our analog recorders.

The new JBL LSR monitors are the very latest in studio monitoring technology. Many seasoned professionals have been selecting these monitors as the primary reference and mix monitors for their projects. Why? Because these monitors have a DSP that automatically tune the speaker to the room. No room is 100% accurate, so these speakers adjust to provide the most neutral monitoring environment possible!

The new mic pres are among the best available today. John Oram "the father of the British EQ" and head engineer for Trident back in the day, has designed new preamps with stunning quality, headroom and transient response. Also, Presonus hooked up with designer Anthony Demara to create the ADL600. This preamp was used on many Grammy winning recordings and offers a pure, all tube design that you have to hear to believe.

Sony has just released the latest version of the Vegas DVD. This DAW recording suite is now the envy of the recording industry. It is so powerful, that only the hardware it runs on has limits. We did a project with over 52 tracks without breaking a sweat!

Analog Recording Update

Our refined analog recording process now offers the fat robust sounds that major label acts crave. Especially suited for guitars and drums, tracking to analog tape and then transferring it to digital to mix with automation is how hundreds of chart-topping records are made.
